More about the role

This is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as a Senior Final Assembler in Langley, BC with Signify.

Rate: $19.58 per hour

Shift: 6:30am to 3:00pm (Monday to Friday)

Union Environment

1. Efficient and safe use of hand, power and measuring tools along with efficient and safe operation and set up of production equipment and machinery.
2. Assemble and sub-assemble lighting fixtures and related components (mechanical and electrical). Test and package assemblies and components.
3. Make inventory transactions with the efficient use of scanners and computer equipment.
4. Provide assistance to Engineering on prototypes and New Product Development and Planning with materials/inventory management along with providing assistance and making recommendations to Manufacturing Engineering and Continuous Improvement Teams.
5. Direct, assist and train Final Assemblers.
6. Operate within Safety Policies, ISO Regulations, Work Station Instructions and Quality Standards as dictated in engineering drawings. Responsible for work station organization, cleanliness and maintenance of tools and equipment; maintains 5S principles and standards.
7. Act as lead hand and/or back up lead hand as required.
8. Assist in other departments and work cells as required.

1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
3. Manual dexterity required for assembly and machine operations. Ability to fulfill physical requirements including standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time.
4. Experience as a Final Assembler possessing full proficiency in all duties and tasks.
5. Full understanding of all department related paperwork. Good communication skills.
6. Good clerical ability and able to read and work from drawings.
7. Basic computer skills for inventory transactions, data entry and record keeping.
8. Able to pass practical Sub Assembly Test.
