Job Overview

The Field Technician should have excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and telephone etiquette. The role involves supporting company associates and systems, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, providing on-site and remote IT support across Ontario, and assisting with technical projects. Responsibilities include:

  • Communicating effectively with all organizational levels, including executives
  • Demonstrating organizational skills and the ability to work independently
  • Managing projects and collaborating with external contractors
  • Researching and resolving technical problems
  • Supporting IOS and Android devices
  • Supporting Microsoft O365 environment
  • Supporting Windows OS and network printers
  • Understanding Ethernet cabling and termination
  • Familiarity with Cisco IOS, Meraki, Citrix, fiber optic cabling, Ubiquiti products, and audiovisual equipment

Qualifications

  • Compliance with IT security and safety policies
  • Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
  • Willingness to travel within Ontario and stay away from home for extended periods
  • Ability to work at heights and operate man lifts (training provided)
  • Flexibility for occasional weekends or extended hours
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders
