Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Senior Field Specialist, Managed Services to supervise IT infrastructure and end-user systems across GTA locations. This 12-month contract role involves hands-on support, system upgrades, and collaboration with stakeholders to align IT with organizational goals.

You will join the MIT team, driving secure, reliable technology to save frontline teams time and improve service quality.

Qualifications

• Diploma or university degree in computer science, engineering or relevant field.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in implementation and support of IT systems.
• Valid driver’s license and a vehicle with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to drive to GTA sites.
• Strong understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks.
• Strong sense of integrity and professional ethics.
• Ability to recognize risks and drive change.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and oversight to IT operations, network security and Communications systems for multiple TSA locations in GTA.
• Support the technology operations and the implementation of new IT systems, network, and policies in accordance with TSA standards.
• Inspect and identify the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency; recommend upgrades or new systems as needed.
• Manage and support all network-connected systems for the sites (including security and door controls).
• Respond and resolve requests related to technical or non-technical issues, following TSA incident management processes.
• Provide training on information technologies, including Office 365 and mobile devices.
