HLX is currently partnering with a cutting-edge medical device company based in Montreal. This dynamic team combines innovative research, design, and manufacturing expertise to deliver breakthrough products that have a meaningful impact on human health.

They are seeking a Senior Experimental Design Engineer with strong expertise in experimental engineering, data analysis, and fluid dynamics to support product development, verification, and validation activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute custom experimental setups to test parameters and validate performance criteria in line with regulatory standards.
• Develop and document experimental protocols and procedures.
• Analyse experimental data, generate detailed reports, and provide insights to validate design hypotheses and optimise performance.
• Work with biological fluids and prepare custom mixtures to meet experimental requirements.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability across experimental configurations.

Mechanical Design

• Use SolidWorks to design and model mechanical components and assemblies for experimental platforms and test rigs.

Collaboration & Problem Solving

• Collaborate with cross-functional R&D teams to refine experiments, resolve technical issues, and enhance testing strategies.
• Contribute creative, practical solutions to improve the efficiency and quality of experimental workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and executing complex experimental setups, with a focus on precision and reliability.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software, particularly for mechanical design in an R&D environment.
• Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail, with the ability to handle intricate, delicate components.
