Job Overview

We are seeking a visionary Senior Events Manager to lead and expand our events portfolio at Grouse Mountain, especially with the addition of the Blue Grouse Gondola in 2024. This role offers an exciting opportunity to elevate our event offerings, increase revenue, and boost visitor traffic, particularly as we approach our centennial celebration in 2026.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Event Planning: Develop a multi-year event strategy aligned with organizational goals and market trends.
  2. Budget & Financial Oversight: Manage and optimize the events budget, ensuring ROI-driven decisions.
  3. Performance Analysis: Implement evaluation frameworks and provide strategic insights to leadership.
  4. Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate across departments and build relationships with vendors, sponsors, and partners.
  5. Marketing Collaboration: Work with the Marketing team to promote events and maximize visibility.
  6. Event Portfolio Management: Oversee signature events such as Seek the Peak, Grouse Grind Mountain Run, and seasonal celebrations.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in marketing, business, or related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in event management, with a record of executing large-scale events.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and financial skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Creative mindset and vendor management experience.
Work Conditions & Compensation

Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Salary range: $85,000 - $95,000 annually. Benefits include free seasonal access, discounts, referral bonuses, transit subsidies, health and dental insurance, RRSP matching, and more.
