Overview

Are you a strategic event marketer who thrives on leading high-impact, global events from ideation to flawless execution? Do you have a passion for building unforgettable brand experiences that foster community, loyalty, and measurable business outcomes? If so, Recharge is looking for a Senior Event Marketing Manager to take the reins on our most important merchant engagement moments of the year.

As Senior Event Marketing Manager, you will be the driving force behind the strategy, planning, and execution of ChargeX North America and EMEA, Recharge’s flagship annual user conferences. This is a highly visible role that requires cross-functional leadership, creative vision, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of our merchant community.

While ChargeX will be your primary focus, you'll also play a supporting role in other Recharge-hosted programs, including regional merchant events and partner activations. Your work will be instrumental in driving merchant engagement, product adoption, and long-term loyalty.

Please note: this is a hybrid role, based out of our Toronto office (downtown in the Core). 2 days a week in the office is expected.

What you’ll do

Own and lead ChargeX (North America & EMEA) end-to-end — driving strategic vision, meticulous planning, and flawless execution to deliver high-impact user conferences that fuel business growth and deepen customer engagement.

  • Own the end-to-end event strategy, planning, and execution for Recharge’s largest and most strategic events—ChargeX North America and ChargeX EMEA.

  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, Sales, Success, and Executive teams to align event goals with business objectives.

  • Drive content strategy, agenda design, speaker curation (including executives, customers, and industry thought leaders), and attendee experience.

  • Oversee budget management, vendor selection, production timelines, event branding, on-site logistics, and post-event reporting.

  • Set clear KPIs and use data and insights to continuously optimize and innovate future ChargeX programs.

Support Other Recharge-Hosted Events:

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to support the execution of regional roadshows, community meetups, and co-branded events.

  • Ensure these programs align with overall brand standards and ChargeX learnings, while tailoring experiences to specific audiences and goals.

Collaborate on Account-Based Marketing Initiatives:

  • Partner with the ABM and Sales teams to ensure cohesive strategy and execution across Recharge’s highest-priority account events.

  • Support select 1:1 and 1:few experiences at ChargeX and other hosted events to deepen relationships and accelerate deal cycles.

What you’ll bring

  • 5–7+ years of experience in event marketing, with a strong portfolio of large-scale, high-impact B2B event programs.

  • Proven success leading multi-day conferences, ideally with global scope and cross-functional executive exposure.

  • Deep understanding of event production, audience acquisition, content strategy, and onsite execution.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and align diverse teams.

  • Strong project management chops—detail-obsessed with the ability to handle competing priorities under tight deadlines.

  • Data-savvy: experience setting KPIs, tracking ROI, and using event insights to shape broader marketing strategy.

  • Experience with marketing tech stacks (e.g., Asana, Cvent, Marketo, HubSpot) and event engagement platforms.

  • Bonus: Knowledge of the subscription commerce space and a passion for empowering merchants to grow and scale with Recharge.
