Job summary

MPI is seeking a Senior Estimator for mid-rise and high-rise residential projects in the GTA. You will shape budgets, perform cost planning, and drive cost-control with cross-functional teams from planning through construction.

The role requires strong estimating expertise, advanced Excel and industry software proficiency, plus experience mentoring junior staff. Competitive salary and benefits offered in a major Ontario developer environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience as a construction estimator.
• Post-secondary degree in architecture, engineering, construction and/or project management.
• Strong ability to perform quantity take-offs across all trade disciplines using computer software.
• Strong numeracy, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities with interpretation of drawings and costs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and management of budgets for mid-rise and high-rise projects.
• Review design documents and perform detailed quantity take-offs for budgeting.
• Lead cost-benefit analysis and support decision-making.
• Lead zero-based budgeting and refine project budgets.
• Drive value engineering with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor junior estimators and monitor risks and opportunities.
