Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Principal Environmental Consultant to lead environmental and social due diligence and long‑term monitoring on bankable projects worldwide. You will provide strategic direction, oversee ESDD/ESLTM delivery, and pursue opportunities with IFIs and lenders.

You will help sustain high‑quality outputs, work with sector leads, and engage senior clients while traveling internationally as needed. Strong English/Spanish is valuable; Portuguese a plus.

Qualifications

• Masters’ degree or higher in appropriate area of science.
• Post‑graduate qualification and/or fellowship in an appropriate professional institution preferred.
• 15 or more years' relevant experience with substantial experience in Environmental Planning and Social Compliance, specifically in the ESDD and ESLTM consultancy work.

Responsibilities

• Drive the quality of IESC delivery across programmatic portfolios by establishing best practices and approving project deliverables.
• Contribute to business development, bidding activities, and project delivery to support growth.
• Collaborate with the IESC Program Manager to address delivery opportunities and strengthen client relationships.
• Serve as a senior technical advisor through reviews, mission participation, meetings and reporting.
