WSP Edmonton is seeking an Intermediate Environmental Scientist or Technician to join the Remediation Program Management group. You will support environmental monitoring, assessment, remediation and reclamation projects, focusing on upstream oil and gas portfolios, in a collaborative, field-oriented team.

You will plan and carry out field assessments, collect data, and present findings in reports, with mentorship provided to junior staff.

Qualifications

• University degree or technical diploma in environmental science, engineering or related field.
• Three+ years experience with upstream oil and gas assessment/remediation.
• Understanding current provincial and federal remediation guidelines.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with no restrictions.
• Ability and willingness to travel for field work.

Responsabilités

• Plan and execute environmental site assessments, remediation and reclamation.
• Lead field assignments and collaborate with project staff to complete tasks.
• Train and mentor junior staff.
• Collect and document soil and groundwater field data to industry standards.
• Communicate with clients, labs and partners about project tasks.
• Assist with preparation of technical reports.
• Ensure safety programs are implemented on all projects.
