Job summary

WSP is seeking an Environmental Project Manager - Regulatory & Compliance to lead complex environmental assessment and permitting programs across Western Canada. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, influence regulatory strategies, and manage client objectives in a dynamic setting.

You will build strong relationships with regulators, Indigenous communities, and executives, ensuring governance, risk management, and financial performance are at the forefront of project delivery.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading large-scale environmental assessment, permitting, and regulatory compliance programs in Western Canada.
• Deep knowledge of federal, provincial, and municipal regulatory frameworks, including emerging environmental and permitting requirements.
• Demonstrated success delivering EIAs, regulatory approvals, and integrated environmental planning assignments.
• Strong ability to translate multidisciplinary technical information into regulatory strategies and client solutions.
• Proven experience managing high-performing distributed teams across projects/offices/regions.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement with executive clients, regulators, and Indigenous communities.
• Strong commercial acumen, including program-level financial oversight, forecasting, profitability, and business development.
• PMP designation or advanced project/program management training is considered a strong asset.

• Deep knowledge of federal, provincial, and municipal regulatory frameworks, including emerging environmental and permitting requirements.
• Demonstrated success delivering complex Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), regulatory approvals, and integrated environmental planning assignments.
• Strong ability to synthesize multidisciplinary technical information and translate it into practical regulatory strategies and client solutions.
• Proven experience managing high-performing, distributed teams across multiple projects, offices, or regions.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence executive clients, regulators, and Indigenous communities.
• Strong commercial acumen, including program-level financial oversight, forecasting, profitability management, and business development.
• PMP designation or advanced project/program management training is considered a strong asset.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $122,900 - $162,800

MB & ON: $112,100 - $154,400

NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $111,000 - $147,400
