Senior Environmental Project Manager (Senior Level)

Join ERM (Environmental Resources Management), a leading global provider of environmental, health, safety, risk, and social consulting services, as a Senior Environmental Project Manager. This role supports the growth of our Canadian Project Management Team and offers flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in Canada, preferably based in one of our offices (e.g., Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, etc.).

As a values-driven professional, you will work with top organizations to deliver innovative solutions and manage sustainability and business challenges. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading project management efforts on projects with budgets up to $2M
  • Managing a growing team of technical specialists across impact assessment, permitting, reclamation, and environmental or sustainability work in Canada
  • Contributing to business growth in relevant sectors
  • Enjoying flexible work arrangements including remote work

You will lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects such as EAs/EISs, permit applications, management plans, and more. Your experience with provincial/territorial permitting and impact assessment processes in regions like British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, or Nunavut will be highly valued. You will also play a key role in building ERM Canada's business and fostering internal and external relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing multiple projects ensuring scope, budget, schedule, and quality meet client expectations
  • Providing leadership in environmental assessment and permitting processes
  • Mentoring team members and contributing to team success
  • Collaborating with global ERM teams and utilizing project management tools
  • Supporting business development through proposals and client engagement

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in sciences, environment, engineering, or related fields; equivalent experience considered
  • 4+ years (preferably 6+) of relevant experience in environmental consulting or impact assessment
  • Experience managing large, complex projects across sectors such as oil and gas, mining, renewables, etc.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Primavera P6 is an asset
  • Commitment to safety, diversity, and continuous learning
