Overview

Our areas of expertise include contaminated sites, reclamation, and natural sciences work.

Role

The primary function of the Senior Environmental Practitioner / Account Manager is to coordinate and/or manage client portfolios in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Lead remediation and reclamation environmental field work programs.
  • Client communication.
  • Prepare work plans and cost estimates.
  • Prepare and organize the execution of proposals.
  • Mentor and train staff; ensure work is done safely and correctly.
  • Manage, review and sign-off on technical reports.
  • Review and sign-off invoices to clients, while managing and forecasting budgets.
  • Ensure billable targets are met for yourself and your direct reports.
  • Expand services with existing clients.
  • Undertake occasional travel to Calgary, Fort St. John, Port Moody, or other destinations as needed.
  • Provide excellent levels of service to our internal and external clients.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of relevant contaminated sites/reclamation/natural sciences experience in environmental consulting in BC, with 8+ years of project management experience.
  • Technical diploma or degree in a related discipline.
  • Possesses a recognized accredited professional designation (e.g., P.Eng, P.Geo, P.Chem, P.Ag. etc.) recognized in BC, or the ability to acquire one.
  • Experience in contaminated sites, with extensive knowledge of BCER Regulations.
  • Experience managing large portfolios, technically complex projects, managing budgets > $2M/year, and overseeing cost controls.
  • Experience managing and dealing with clients in a professional and timely manner.
  • Experience managing a team, while providing training and mentorship to juniors.
  • Energy, intelligence, and integrity. Your drive for exceptional client experience is relentless.
  • Reliable attention to details that matter most, accuracy driven, and professional organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, technical writing, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to safety.
