Your Opportunity
With a focus on local projects, the successful candidate will support a diverse team of environmental professionals providing services to multiple sectors (e.g., infrastructure, mining, oil and gas, and power). Key project responsibilities include conducting environmental monitoring in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. The ideal candidate will possess a range of skills; experience in environmental monitoring is necessary and knowledge of various environmental disciplines is beneficial. Environmental professionals in this position will work on a variety of environmental assessment, permitting, and compliance projects throughout Saskatchewan. Project specific training as well as Client required training will be provided.
The work described below requires an experienced senior professional who consistently applies advanced practical knowledge to deliver results. The Senior Environmental Monitor will exercise independent judgment to resolve complex problems, analyze issues, interpret information, and select methods and solutions to resolve problems. Additionally, the individual will handle deviations from standard practices; typically resolve complex problems and/or problems where precedent may be limited.

Education and Experience
Diploma or degree in environmental engineering technology or related discipline (e.g., biology, environmental studies). Minimum of seven years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience. Possess qualifications consistent with the Saskatchewan Petroleum Industry/Government Environment Committee Guideline (SPIGEC) No. 6 (2002) for Field Environmental Monitors.
The successful candidate will primarily engage in field work, with occasional office-based tasks. Travel (primarily within Saskatchewan) will be required for field work and may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Ability to lift and move items and equipment up to 50 lbs.
