Job summary

Englobe is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer / Environmental Science Professional to lead phased environmental site assessments and remediation projects in Canada. You will apply environmental expertise, mentor staff, manage budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance across diverse projects.

Ideal candidates have a University degree in Engineering/Applied Science/Geology, 8+ years of environmental consulting experience, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in environmental consulting or related field.
  • Qualified Person (QP) status is a strong asset.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of projects and budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consulting as Senior Environmental Engineer / Environmental Science Professional on phased environmental site assessments and remediation.
  • Apply in-depth environmental knowledge to complex projects under your responsibility.
  • Prepare and review technical deliverables, including RSCs, in line with O. Reg. 406/19.
  • Prepare proposals, develop and manage project budgets.
  • Mentor and direct other environmental professionals and technicians.
  • Ensure projects comply with quality standards and regulations.
  • Identify and cultivate client relationships with senior leadership.
  • Lead design, processes, and engineering discussions for growth opportunities.
  • Provide technical leadership and serve as senior consultant.

Your main responsibilities
  • Provide consulting services in the capacity of a Senior Environmental Engineer / Environmental Science Professional in conjunction with Phased Environmental Site Assessments including risk assessment and remediation;
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of environmental engineering or science to the completion of complex and difficult projects under your responsibility;
  • Prepare and review technical deliverables, including Records of Site Condition (RSCs) and reports in accordance with O. Reg. 406/19: On-Site and Excess Soil Management;
  • Prepare proposals and develop and manage project budgets;
  • Mentor and direct other environmental professionals and technicians;
  • Work with other project managers to ensure that projects are set up and executed in full compliance with quality standards and regulations;
  • Identify, pursue and b uild/s upport client relationships, working in conjunction with senior leadership team;
  • Consult on matters of design, processes, and engineering techniques related to growth opportunities, business development and planning;
  • Provide effective technical leadership, direction and support for members of the team; and
  • Serve as a senior consultant for Environmental projects, designs and deliverables.

The salary range for this position is $89,436 to $117,384 CAD base per annum, based on the responsibilities of the role, internal equity, and current market benchmarks. The final offer will be determined based on a combination of factors, including the candidate's skills, experience and qualifications, their positioning within our internal compensation structure, and relevant geographic cost-of-living considerations, where applicable. This range represents a realistic and good-faith estimate of the compensation we expect to offer for this role.

Compensation may also include a comprehensive benefits package, performance incentives, or bonus eligibility depending on role level and business unit. We aim to foster transparency, respect candidate time and ensure equitable compensation aligned with our company values.
