Job summary

Cam Tran is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the design and development of single and three‑phase distribution transformers, guiding a multidisciplinary team to meet production targets and quality standards.

The role requires strategic leadership, budgeting, and cross‑functional collaboration, with a strong background in manufacturing engineering and proficiency in CAD/FEA and industry standards such as ANSI, IEEE, and CSA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• 10+ years in engineering, with 5+ years in a leadership role in a manufacturing/transfomer environment.
• Proficiency in electrical distribution equipment design and standards (ANSI, ASTM, IEEE, CSA).
• Experience with CAD, FEA, simulation tools and ERP software.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or similar methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design and development for distribution transformers.
• Develop and manage the engineering department budgets.
• Oversee daily engineering operations and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ensure design compliance with ANSI, ASTM, IEEE, CSA, DOE.
• Mentor and develop the engineering team; conduct performance reviews.
