Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Senior Engineer on our Water Resources team to perform hydrologic/hydraulic analyses for Class I Railroad projects, help define scope and schedule, and prepare technical reports. You will review CAD drawings and assist in obtaining permits; travel to job sites is required.

You should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a Professional Engineering license, and 8+ years of water resources experience, with at least 4 years in leadership or mentoring.

Qualifications

• We require a PE license and a degree in Engineering.
• You must have extensive water resources experience.
• Leadership or mentoring experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for Class I Railroad projects.
• Develop project scope and schedule and prepare technical reports.
• Review CAD drawings and obtain local, state, and federal permits.
• Travel to job sites for field reconnaissance in various conditions.

Job Description

As a Senior Engineer on our Water Resources team, you will provide various engineering and project management duties related to hydrologic/hydraulic analysis for Class I Railroad projects. You will assist with developing the project scope and schedule, prepare technical reports, review CAD drawings, and obtain local, state, and federal permits for water resources related projects. Travel is required to job sites for field reconnaissance in all types of terrain and weather conditions.

• Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, HEC‑RAS, HEC‑HMS or other related hydrologic and hydraulic software is preferred.

Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, geographic location, skills, education, and internal equity.

Colorado Pay Range

$100,000—$130,000 USD
