Job summary

A leading engineering company in Montreal is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer. This position focuses on developing and improving quality assurance processes for aerospace products. Ideal candidates will have over 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance and strong leadership skills, with excellent communication in French. Evening shift schedule from Monday to Thursday is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance.
• Excellent leadership capabilities in engineering or manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ASME Y14.5).

Responsibilities

• Participate in product design reviews and evaluate technical change notices.
• Ensure compliance with specifications through process reviews.

We are currently seeking a qualified Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team.

Schedule : Evening Shift - Monday to Thursday, 14 : 30 to 00 : 30

Description : The Senior Engineer – Quality Assurance will be part of the Satellite Systems division and is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and improving quality assurance processes to meet stringent aerospace and customer standards. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about excellence in quality, space technology, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Participate in product design reviews and evaluate technical change notices
• Ensure compliance with specifications by reviewing and approving work instructions, processes, and inspection points
• Interpret acceptance criteria and optimize control plans across production
• Lead cross-functional problem-solving efforts for non-conformities with teams such as purchasing, production, and engineering
• Conduct process and product audits internally and with suppliers; ensure effective corrective actions are implemented
• Analyze performance data to identify improvements and lead continuous improvement initiatives

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance
• Strong leadership capabilities within engineering or manufacturing environments
• Excellent communication skills in French
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ASME Y14.5), AS9100 standards, and aerospace work practices

Preferred Qualification

• Auditor certification or formal auditor training
• Training in quality engineering methodologies (e.g., CQE, APQP, Six Sigma)
• Experience with complex machine parts, electromechanical assemblies, or PCBs
