At CPP Investments, we are at the forefront of leveraging cutting-edge technologies to drive innovation and excellence in data solutions. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be an integral part of our mission to transform data into actionable insights, empowering our organization to make data-driven decisions with precision and agility.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will lead projects focused on developing, constructing, testing, and maintaining enterprise data and large-scale processing systems. You will promote engineering excellence and continuous improvement within your team, applying data engineering best practices to support the organization's data initiatives and enhance enterprise data products.

Accountabilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines to Data Products from various sources to storage and analytical systems.
• Provide on-call support for production systems, identify automation opportunities to reduce MTTR, and develop operational runbooks.
• Implement processes and tools to monitor and improve data quality, including profiling, freshness, and SLA adherence.
• Partner with Data Governance to establish policies ensuring data accuracy, privacy, and security.
• Drive adoption of DevOps & QE culture, support presentations on product releases and best practices, and provide guidance to users and application teams.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Stay updated on emerging data engineering technologies and incorporate new tools and techniques to enhance productivity and innovation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or college diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Big Data, change data capture, data quality, and data lineage.
• Proficiency in programming within AWS Data & Analytics context (Python, EMR, Glue, Lakeformation, Airflow, PySpark, Trino, Hudi, Iceberg).
• Knowledge of data quality principles, profiling, and governance best practices.
• AWS Certified Data & Analytics Specialty.
• Nice to have: Experience with Databricks, Github Actions, Terraform, and Rust.
