We are seeking a Senior Engineer for our Mechanical Engineering department. This position can be based out of our Collingwood, Barrie or Guelph office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for completing mechanical engineering designs and projects serving sectors such as Commercial, Institutional, Industrial, and Municipal Buildings. Projects involve systems like HVAC, domestic water, sanitary and storm drainage, building automation, and fire protection. Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations is required. Work may include designing mechanical systems, conducting condition assessments, report writing, site inspections, and guiding contractors.

The candidate will also mentor junior staff, manage projects, engage in business development, and collaborate on multi-disciplinary projects with clients, architects, and team members.

Key Position Requirements

• P.Eng. in Ontario
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 10-15 years of mechanical engineering experience in consulting
• Knowledge of Ontario Building Code, ASHRAE, CSA, NFPA standards
• Experience with mechanical system design, calculations, equipment selection, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, automation
• Preparation of specifications for equipment and systems
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; REVIT and energy retrofit experience are assets
• Strong communication, interpersonal, technical, and analytical skills
• Enthusiasm for teamwork and mentoring
