Job Description

Reporting to the director of the technical services department, the senior water treatment engineer will be responsible for supporting the completion of the engineering phases of projects in the mining and industrial fields. He will supervise a multidisciplinary team and bring his expertise to the design of water treatment plants, ensuring their compliance with required standards and specifications.

Main Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coordinate and oversee the work of engineers assigned to projects.
  • Participate in the design of temporary and permanent water treatment plants, focusing on containerized solutions and civil infrastructure.
  • Carry out calculations and determine the parameters necessary for the design of the installations.
  • Write studies, technical reports and protocols to monitor the progress of projects.
  • Diagnose problems and propose innovative solutions to optimize installation performance.
  • Ensure technical coordination with the various stakeholders involved in the projects.
  • Supervise and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure the smooth running of projects.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and ensure their satisfaction throughout the project.
  • Conduct site visits to supervise operations and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Contribute to the development of new products and the improvement of existing products.
  • Participate in the development of service offerings by providing technical information and cost estimates for potential projects.

Job Requirements:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in chemical, biotechnology, civil, industrial engineering or equivalent.
  • Be a member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ) (asset).
  • Specialization in water treatment.
  • Have more than 8 years of experience.
  • Have significant management experience.
  • Have experience in the mining or industrial sectors (asset).
  • Excellent oral and written communication in French and English.
