Job Description Summary

The I&C Systems Design Engineer is responsible for design and analysis of I&C systems for nuclear power plant applications.

Responsibilities include:

• Design and develop I&C systems for nuclear power plants, including GE's BWRX-300 SMR and Gen-IV reactor technologies.
• Lead I&C System design from conceptual to commissioning stages, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet performance and safety standards.
• Provide technical guidance, oversee project schedules, and mentor team members.
• Engage with system suppliers and oversee testing and validation processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Controls, Mechanical, Nuclear Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
• At least 10 years of experience in industrial Instrumentation and Control, preferably in nuclear or similar regulated industries.
• Experience with PLC or DCS applications in complex automation environments.
• Minimum 2 years in safety-critical applications.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with nuclear analog/digital instrumentation and safety-related systems.
• Knowledge of industry standards and cyber security requirements.
• Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Ability to work in a matrix environment and manage multiple priorities.
