The Role

This position will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting Automation Services within Wyndham’s Digital Employee Experience and Automation group. The role involves delivering end-to-end solutions using Robotic Process Automation tools (Power Automate), Smartsheet, and other platforms to support business functions. You will collaborate with business leads to document requirements, translate them into design, and develop automation to increase efficiency and reduce manual work across systems in Sales, CRM, Finance, and the Office suite. This role requires close cooperation with other DEX team members and the automation team to ensure stability, availability, and the use of best-in-class products. Availability on call 24/7 may be required to troubleshoot and resolve major system outages swiftly, working with vendors and internal teams to minimize impact on end users.

What you'll do
  • Develop and maintain requirements and technical design documentation (TDD) for automation processes.
  • Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI), Smartsheet, and other tools.
  • Ensure automation solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues to minimize business disruption.
  • Follow design and coding standards, policies, and procedures set by Wyndham Automation CoE.
  • Work with internal IT and business teams during testing and UAT phases to ensure quality bug fixes.
  • Report status, issues, and risks to senior management regularly.
  • Integrate automation solutions with enterprise applications such as Salesforce, MS Office, Oracle EBS, and other critical systems.
You'll be successful if you have
  • Experience working in complex IT environments, preferably in the services sector.
  • Ability to think creatively to solve problems, resolve tickets, and enhance systems.
  • Responsibility for support and maintenance activities, including work tracking, estimation, stakeholder management, and platform stability.
  • Technical proficiency in automation tools and scripting.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload effectively.
  • Understanding of security policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications/Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in automation development and integration.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI), Automation Anywhere, and Smartsheet automation capabilities.
  • Experience with API integrations and enterprise applications like Salesforce and Oracle.
  • Proficiency in scripting and low-code/no-code development methodologies.
  • Understanding of data flow, process automation, and workflow optimization.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and customer-centric approach.
  • Experience with product support, SLA measurement, and reporting metrics.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
