Job summary

International SOS in Fort McMurray is seeking an experienced Fire Captain to lead EMS, Fire, and Rescue operations across onsite facilities. You will manage on-site teams, drills, pre-fire plans, and incident response, ensuring patient care and safety standards are met.

The role requires strong safety leadership, a suite of NFPA certifications, and the ability to train and onboard new staff. 14 days on/off rotation and remote site conditions apply.

Qualifications

• PCP license with Alberta paramedics credential
• NFPA certifications listed above
• Strong OH&S knowledge and safety compliance
• Proficient with MS Office suite
• Ability to train and develop on-site staff
• Excellent communication under pressure

Responsibilities

• Lead EMS, Fire, and Rescue operations
• Prepare and lead drills, inspections, and site duties
• Ensure patients are managed professionally
• Ensure equipment and transport are ready 24/7
• Lead emergency response in captain's absence
• Onboard and train new hires
• Conduct performance evaluations
• Maintain site pre-fire and rescue plans
