Job summary

ZTR Control Systems in Ontario, Canada is seeking an experienced software architect to design and implement edge device solutions, optimizing performance, security, and reliability across the SDLC.

You will lead code reviews, develop testing strategies, mentor junior developers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while advancing AI-assisted development and secure communication protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or related field.
• Expert proficiency in at least one embedded programming language.
• Advanced knowledge of Linux systems programming.
• Experience with networking fundamentals and edge device protocols.
• Familiarity with Git and CI principles.
• Excellent technical writing and documentation skills.
• Experience with testing methodologies (unit, integration).
• Knowledge of IoT and edge security best practices.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities
