Job summary

MDA Space in Montreal is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Developer – Architect to lead the architecture, implementation and integration of flight software for satellite payloads and platforms. You will steer technical decisions within an agile team and mentor engineers across Systems, Digital and RF domains.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years in embedded software, strong C/C++, RTOS, CI/CD, and experience with complex SoCs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 15+ years embedded software development experience.
• Experience with networking, RTOS, boot code, and embedded CPUs.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and design of flight software for satellite payloads.
• Collaborate with Systems, Digital, and RF teams on software architecture.
• Support flight code integration and testing in flight units.
• Refine software requirements and document lifecycle artifacts.
• Mentor team members and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Interact with customers and support proposals.
