Job summary

VenorTalent, on behalf of our client, is seeking an experienced Hardware Engineer to lead embedded electronics design for mission-critical environments in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. You will own the hardware development lifecycle from concept through production, delivering robust and manufacturable solutions.

Collaborating with firmware, software, mechanical and manufacturing teams, you will drive design for test and manufacturability, support prototypes, product launches, and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of embedded hardware experience.
• Strong background in analog, digital, and mixed-signal design.
• Experience with Altium Designer and PCB layouts.

Responsibilities

• Design embedded hardware from concept through production and field support.
• Develop system architectures optimizing performance, reliability, manufacturability, cost, and power.
• Design mixed-signal, analog, and digital circuits using embedded processors and microcontrollers.
• Create and review schematics, component selections, PCB layouts, and technical documentation.
• Perform design analysis, simulations, and validation for performance and reliability.
• Apply DFM and DFT principles to support efficient production.
• Lead hardware integration, bring-up, debugging, and system validation.
• Collaborate with firmware, manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
• Support prototypes, product launches, regulatory compliance, and manufacturing readiness.
• Investigate issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Contribute to project planning, risk management, and design reviews.
• Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes and standards.
