Senior Electronic Design Engineer

Job Description

Our client is a well-established developer of specialist electronic equipment. They are seeking a Senior Electronic Hardware Engineer to join their team.

The Role

1. Technical authority for hardware aspects of the product e.g. Design verification, formal qualification etc.
2. Consider cost, size, DFM etc.
3. Drive innovation and process development within own scope of responsibility.
4. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, contribute to the design and verification of new components, products and systems.
5. When required, support root cause analysis on issues with existing products.
6. Support Sales team with technical proposals.
7. Contribute to peer review processes within the team.
8. Provide technical mentorship to other engineers.

The Candidate

1. Electronic engineering qualifications – ideally degree.
2. Proven skills in hardware design with a PCB or electronic design bias.
3. Experience of using a PCB CAD package e.g. Eagle, OrCAD, Altium.
4. Ideally, practical experience in designing electronic assemblies to meet EMC requirements.
5. Experience of supporting products throughout their lifecycle.
6. Ability to obtain SC security clearance.

The Package

Offering up to £60k basic, plus a competitive benefits package including 25 days holiday. Relocation assistance is offered.
