Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Industrial, Water, and Wastewater team in downtown Vancouver, BC. Reporting to the Director of Electrical, SCADA & Facilities, the successful candidate will collaborate with electrical staff, mentor junior engineers, and serve as the project electrical lead.

Key Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for industrial water and wastewater facilities
• Perform load calculations and utilize modeling software (ETAP, EasyPower)
• Create electrical models and perform analyses (power flow, short circuit, arc flash, etc.)
• Develop detailed drawings and diagrams (single-line, P&IDs, grounding, wiring, etc.)
• Select metering and protection devices
• Develop network wiring diagrams and communication protocols
• Conduct technical reviews and project management tasks
• Ensure quality standards and client satisfaction
• Prepare estimates, proposals, and support business development
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate across disciplines
• Maintain safety and environmental compliance

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of electrical consulting experience in industrial projects
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Experience with detailed design drawings and electrical standards
• Proficiency in ETAP, SKM, EasyPower for power system studies
• Knowledge of industrial automation and communication protocols
• Strong project management and client communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Compensation

Salary range in BC: $105,800 - $145,400, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
