Egis Canada is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Edmonton, AB, to lead electrical system design for nuclear, oil and gas, and switchgear projects. You will provide technical leadership, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• P.Eng. designation with APEGA in good standing is required.
• Minimum 10+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• Minimum 5 years in design and project experience in Nuclear, Oil and Gas, or Switchgear Electrical Building Design.
• Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and related standards.
• Experience leading electrical design activities and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, review, and implementation of electrical systems for nuclear, oil and gas, and switchgear projects.
• Develop and maintain design documentation, specs, calculations, and technical reports.
• Coordinate design with architectural, civil, mechanical teams and other disciplines.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Conduct quality reviews to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with CEC and applicable standards.
• Participate in stakeholder meetings and project planning discussions.
• Contribute to standards development and templates.
