Job summary

Associated Engineering, a proudly Canadian, Employee-owned company, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Calgary office within the EIC group. You will work on multi-disciplined projects interfacing with mechanical, electrical, structural and civil engineers.

You will design power systems including medium voltage equipment, motor control centres, lighting, hazardous area classification and fire alarms, while supervising junior engineers or technicians and reviewing work for

Qualifications

• An undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Registered with APEGA as a Professional Engineer.
• 8+ years of experience in a multi-discipline engineering setting.
• Developing and reviewing single line diagrams, cable & conduit schedules, control panel layouts, conduit routing, heat tracing, motor power and control schematics, and field wiring.
• Developing plans and details for hazardous area classification, grounding, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
• Applying industry codes and standards such as CEC, IEC, NFPA to designs.
• Experience coordinating multi-discipline projects and conducting field inspections.
