WSP is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical infrastructure design for mission critical and data center facilities across Canada. You will develop high/low voltage power distribution, standby generation, and UPS solutions while mentoring multidisciplinary teams and working closely with clients and partners to ensure resilient, energy-efficient systems.

The role offers opportunities to influence project outcomes, lead basis-of-design studies, and support IST/commissioning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• P.Eng. designation required.
• 10+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience.
• Experience delivering mission critical facilities and data centers.
• Strong expertise in high-voltage and low-voltage distribution, standby generation, UPS, switchgear, grounding, and power monitoring.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams and working with clients and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of data center resiliency, redundancy, and operational continuity.
• IST/commissioning experience is an asset.

• Contribute to growth of the Mission Critical & Data Centers practice through proposals and industry engagement.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will provide technical leadership on some of the most complex and innovative data center projects in the industry, supporting enterprise, colocation, hyperscale, AI, cloud, and high-performance computing (HPC) facilities. Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, clients, and industry partners, you will deliver resilient, scalable, and energy‑efficient electrical systems that power the technologies driving tomorrow's economy.

Your Impact

• Lead the planning, design, and delivery of electrical infrastructure for mission critical and data center facilities.
• Develop innovative solutions for high-voltage and low-voltage power distribution, standby generation, UPS systems, switchgear, grounding, and power monitoring systems.

The Skills That Set You Apart

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation.
• 10+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience.
• Experience delivering mission critical facilities, data centers, utilities, healthcare, industrial, or other complex infrastructure projects.
• Strong expertise in critical power systems, including high-voltage and low-voltage distribution, standby generation, UPS systems, switchgear, grounding, and power monitoring.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams and working directly with clients and project stakeholders.
• Knowledge of data center resiliency requirements, redundancy concepts, operational continuity, and critical facility design principles.
• Experience with commissioning, integrated systems testing (IST), electrical master planning, utility coordination, or campus-scale infrastructure projects is considered an asset.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $114,600 - $151,800

MB & ON: $104,500 - $143,900

NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $103,500 - $137,400

The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
