Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Ontario is seeking a senior electrical engineer to lead complex building electrical design, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and mentor the next generation.

You will ensure designs meet codes and standards, drive sustainable solutions, and deliver informed technical guidance on project delivery. This is a senior role within a global practice that shapes communities and offers growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a PEO licence.
• 8+ years of experience in the engineering consulting industry.
• Proven expertise in electrical engineering principles, codes, and standards for building projects.
• Experience leading electrical system design across multiple facility types.
• Proficiency with relevant electrical design software and engineering tools.
• Experience providing technical guidance and mentoring junior engineers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electrical systems for complex building projects.
• Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, specifications, and other design documentation to support accurate, high-quality project delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members, strengthening technical capability across the team.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated, practical, and client-focused building solutions.
• Ensure electrical designs and documentation meet applicable industry standards, codes, and client requirements.
• Drive innovation and sustainability by identifying opportunities to improve electrical design solutions and project outcomes.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $114,600 – $151,800

MB & ON: $104,500 – $143,900

NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $103,500 – $137,400
