Description

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer on a permanent basis for our Major Projects team on-site in Regina, SK.

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the successful delivery of high-impact capital projects. This role offers the opportunity to lead electrical engineering activities from engineering and design through testing, commissioning, and start-up, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to achieve safe, reliable, and functional results.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading power supply planning and evaluation for major capital projects to ensure reliable electrical infrastructure that supports operational needs.
  • Providing technical leadership for electrical engineering and design activities, including FEED, detailed engineering, design bases, specifications, standards, single-line diagrams, power system studies, hazardous area classifications, and electrical simulation models.
  • Managing cross-functional and regulatory activities such as P&ID reviews, HAZOP/LOPA, constructability assessments, interconnection processes, and compliance with codes and standards.
  • Overseeing procurement and vendor activities, including bid evaluations, data sheet development, testing, inspection plans, and participation in FATs, SATs, and system testing.
  • Supporting construction, testing, commissioning, and startup phases, ensuring safety and timely project delivery through planning, coordination, inspections, and turnover activities.
  • Championing reliability and risk-based asset management principles, incorporating maintainability, total cost of ownership, and collaboration with the Reliability Engineering team.

Team Collaboration:

You will work closely with Project Managers, Area Leads, Project Engineers, EPCMs, and other stakeholders, reporting to the Lead Engineer, Electrical.
