Job summary

Vard Marine Inc is seeking Independent Electrical Contractors to perform residential electrical installations, repairs and upgrades throughout Ottawa and Gatineau. This opportunity is for Independent Contractors only and is not an employee position.

You will install and service lighting, switches, receptacles, panels and wiring, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Independent Contractor status required.
• Valid GST/HST Number (Ontario) or GST/QST Registration (Quebec).
• Current Commercial General Liability Insurance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential electrical installations, repairs, and upgrades.
• Install and service lighting, switches, receptacles, panels, and wiring.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues

Requirements

• Must operate as an Independent Contractor (not an employee)
• Valid Business Registration
• Valid GST/HST Number (Ontario) or GST/QST Registration (Quebec)
• Current Commercial General Liability Insurance
• Reliable transportation
• Own tools and equipment required to perform electrical work
• Valid electrical trade qualifications and licences required by your jurisdiction
• Experience in residential electrical work preferred

Quebec Contractors Must Also Provide:

• Valid NEQ (Numéro d'entreprise du Québec)
• Current CNESST registration and proof of compliance, where applicable
• Proof of CNESST coverage or exemption, as applicable
• Certificate of Insurance confirming coverage in Quebec

Ontario Contractors Must Also Provide:

• Current WSIB Clearance Certificate, where applicable
