The Byng Group in Ottawa/Gatineau is seeking Independent General Contractors for ongoing residential renovation, restoration, and maintenance projects. Work is distributed across Ottawa and Gatineau, with no client hunting required for steady opportunities.

You must be an independent contractor with valid business registrations, GST/HST or GST/QST, liability insurance, reliable transportation, and your own tools. Bi-weekly payments are provided along with a steady pipeline of projects.

Qualifications

• Must operate as an Independent Contractor (not an employee).
• Valid Business Registration.
• Valid GST/HST Number (Ontario) or GST/QST Registration (Quebec).
• Current Commercial General Liability Insurance.
• Reliable transportation.
• Own tools and equipment necessary to perform contracted work.
• Experience with residential renovations and general contracting.
• Ability to manage multiple project scopes and trades.
• Quebec contractors must provide NEQ, CNESST registration or compliance proof.
• Ontario contractors must provide WSIB clearance certificate when required.

Responsabilités

• Réaliser des projets de rénovation et d'entretien résidentiels
• Coordonner et exécuter différents types de travaux selon les besoins
• Gérer les échéanciers et assurer la qualité des travaux
• Maintenir des chantiers propres, sécuritaires et organisés
• Communiquer l'avancement des travaux et les conditions du chantier
• Identifier et signaler toute déficience ou tout travail supplémentaire requis

Exigences

• Doit exercer ses activités à titre d'entrepreneur indépendant (et non d'employé)
• Enregistrement d'entreprise valide
• Numéro de TPS/TVH (Ontario) ou TPS/TVQ (Québec) valide
• Assurance responsabilité civile commerciale en vigueur
• Véhicule fiable
• Outils et équipements nécessaires à l'exécution des travaux
• Expérience en rénovation résidentielle et en gestion de projets
• Capacité à gérer plusieurs corps de métier et types de travaux

Les entrepreneurs du Québec doivent également fournir :

• Un NEQ valide
• Une preuve d'inscription et de conformité à la CNESST, lorsque requis
• Une preuve de couverture ou d'exemption de la CNESST, selon le cas
• Un certificat d'assurance confirmant la couverture au Québec

Les entrepreneurs de l'Ontario doivent également fournir :

• Une attestation de conformité de la WSIB, lorsque requise
