Your Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Buildings Group. The successful candidate will lead electrical engineering projects, provide technical expertise, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality building designs. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical systems, strong project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Your Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of electrical systems for building projects, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communication systems.
Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine project requirements and constraints.
Prepare detailed electrical engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems into overall building designs.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve our engineering services. "

Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.

Proficiency in electrical design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP). Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license required.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on building projects. Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may require travel and include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
