Job description

Mistplay is seeking a Senior Economy Data Analyst II to join our Analytics team. In this role, you will leverage data analysis and experimentation to generate insights and recommendations that influence our product roadmap and inform high-impact decisions driving business and product performance.

Reporting to the Manager of Analytics & Experimentation, you will collaborate with Product Managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to use data-driven insights to inform the design of Mistplay’s core user economy, including in-app earn rate, loyalty & tiering strategy, pricing, and cost optimization. You will lead the design and execution of multivariate A/B tests and conduct research to guide the implementation of mathematical models and simulations of user economies.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Own Mistplay’s in-app user economy and drive insights to optimize rewards and user engagement.
  • Conduct prescriptive analysis to identify actionable insights, analyze user behavior, and improve user experience.
  • Define KPIs and develop dashboards, reports, and models for decision-making.
  • Design and analyze multivariate product experiments to support growth and feature development.
  • Develop mathematical models to simulate in-game economic systems, leveraging statistical research and economic principles.
  • Apply advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to uncover player insights and forecast trends.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to build business cases and forecasts for new features and strategies.

Qualifications :

  • BA / BS in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in quantitative analysis, preferably in gaming or tech industries.
  • Ability to communicate complex analyses effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Experience with A / B testing and statistical concepts.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python or similar, and BI tools like Tableau.
  • Positive attitude, curiosity, and proactive mindset.

Preferred :

  • Interest in gaming and industry knowledge.
  • Experience in econometrics and user behavior modeling.
  • Knowledge of data science, machine learning, and cloud data platforms.
