Job summary

WorleyCord is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Estimator to join our Edmonton or Calgary team. The role leads bid activities, develops estimates, and coordinates with project teams to ensure accurate, timely bids for E&I scope within heavy oil and energy projects.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in industrial estimation, strong knowledge of E&I, and hands-on experience with Excel-based pricing, AutoCAD, and project controls.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of estimator experience in an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of industrial construction within field and mod yard locations.
• Experience in an electrical and instrumentation estimating role with civil/structural/ME exposure.
• Alberta Industry Trades Certification or equivalent.
• Engineering or technical background in Electrical & Instrumentation preferred (diploma or degree, CET, RET, P.Eng).
• Understand the detail required for bid package reviews.
• Proven construction methodologies.
• Proficiency with MS Office, NAVIS Works, Adobe Reader; AutoCAD familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Review all aspects of the RFP documents.
• Lead the project bid team for Electrical and Instrumentation requirements.
• Develop a basis of estimate and pricing templates in Excel.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and Project Controls for bid schedule and execution plan.
• Develop scopes of work for subcontractors and RFP packages.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to understand scope of work.
• Research local subcontractors and build relationships.
• Support subcontractor clarifications and bid evaluations.
• Develop clarifications and review subcontractor exceptions.
• Monitor bid deadlines and ensure timely delivery to the client.
• Coordinate with estimators, subcontractors, vendors to deliver bids.
• Support quantity checks at summary level for the estimate.
