Job description

This role serves as Sodexo's primary representative to diverse and small business communities in Canada. The individual will actively facilitate connections between potential suppliers and internal decision-makers, support compliance by ensuring vendors meet established reporting requirements, and promote Sodexo's commitment to supplier diversity by representing the company at conferences, trade shows, and external engagements. This position manages over 500 diverse and SME vendors and oversees over $75 million in diverse vendor spend.

Your key responsibilities include diverse vendor reporting (a requirement in many client contracts), driving diverse supplier education within our Supply Management team, and engaging with key diversity organizations. The role involves serving as Sodexo's face to potential diverse and SME businesses, connecting them with the correct contacts, holding vendors accountable for reporting, and representing Sodexo externally at conferences and events.

Develops and Maintains Diverse Supplier Pipeline

• Oversees the vendor portal to identify potential new diverse vendors in the US / CAN
• Connects potential diverse / small vendors with the appropriate internal contact
• Ensures diverse vendors are included in all category RFPs
• Manages the general supplier diversity mailbox to ensure a positive experience with Sodexo
• Attends matchmaker events with external organizations to identify potential new partners
• Manages required PAR engagement and reporting for indigenous spend to support Sodexo's Gold status

Manages Diverse and SME Supplier Reporting

• Maintains and updates technology to provide quarterly reporting of 2nd Tier vendors' spend
• Educates vendors on establishing a supplier diversity program as needed
• Maintains vendor database to track spend and compliance
• Ensures accountability for diverse spend goals and vendor reporting

Maintains Certification Repository for Diverse Vendors

• Ensures our 500 diverse and small vendors' certifications are current in the system, updating from over 30 databases quarterly
• Tracks small business spend for Better Tomorrow reporting (audited annually)
• Provides reporting for over 50 clients, including training unit managers and creating newsletters with updated certifications

Serves as key contact for Supply Managers and Ambassadors to support growth of diverse spend, supports the Supply team in meeting diversity goals, and leads engagement with diversity organizations. Attends conferences, workshops, and trade shows as a subject matter expert, may include identifying and meeting potential vendors, and presenting on regional or national panels.

Qualifications

• Supplier diversity certification (e.g., CAMSC) is a strong asset
