Senior Director, Telemetry & Intel- Brampton, ON
We are currently seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Director of Cyber Telemetry to lead our organization's cybersecurity data collection, analysis, and threat intelligence capabilities. In this critical role, you will be responsible for building and managing a high-performing team that delivers actionable insights to protect our critical assets and data. This role reports directly into the Senior Vice President, Cyber Security, Privacy and Network.
What You'll Do:
  • Understand the whole developer experience space at Loblaw and how telemetry fits together with it and the wider organization all while monitoring software costs across both Cyber and Network
  • Understand security incidents and probable causes by examining past telemetry data. Reveal outdated software versions so thatsecurity patches can be applied promptly.
  • Monitor database connections, queries, response times, and errors to help provide deeper insights about our products and identify areas for improvement, potential security breaches and reducing error rates
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of skilled security professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reporting mechanisms to communicate security posture and threat landscape to key stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Stay abreast of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to continuously improve the effectiveness of the cyber telemetry program.
  • Partner effectively with various IT and business stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of security telemetry into existing workflows and processes.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Advocate for and champion the importance of data-driven cybersecurity practices across the organization.
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on security information and event management (SIEM), security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR), and threat intelligence platforms.
  • Tenured experience leading and managing high-performing security teams.
  • Deep understanding of security data sources, log management, data normalization, and correlation techniques.
  • Expertise in implementing and managing security analytics platforms and tools, including SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and UEBA solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of various threat intelligence frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK) and their application in threat detection and response.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
