Job summary

Loblaw Companies Limited is seeking a Sr. Director, Sourcing – Centre of Store to lead strategic supplier negotiations and guide the category strategy for a nationwide network of stores.

You will oversee enterprise negotiations, drive cost efficiencies, and mentor a team of Sourcing Directors, influencing Merchandising and Category decisions. Qualifications

• Curious mindset and positive, self-motivated demeanor.
• Post-secondary education in business, supply management, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in procurement, category management, supply chain management, operations management or general management in the meat processing industry.
• Ability to set priorities, deliver results and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical approach to decision making with experience managing P&L and building financial models.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier negotiations for strategic suppliers and drives metrics pertaining to supplier KPIs.
• Oversee base business category negotiations on behalf of the enterprise for better cost.
• Determine baseline cost and changes (commodity cost changes, new item costing, commodity reviews).
• Initiate the process of selecting suppliers based on criteria or scorecard via playbooks.
• Determine baseline cost outcome for supplier audits (non-promo related).
• Own end-to-end supplier RFP process aligned with annualized procurement category playbooks.
• Facilitate resolution of major inventory issues related to suppliers.
• Collaborate with category teams for quality-related issues.
• Final decisions on costing negotiations for new and existing products.
• Actively participate in talent development and mentorship.
• Proudly represent the centre of store sourcing team within the Sourcing community!
