Loblaw Companies Limited in Canada is seeking a Director of Sourcing to lead category-specific procurement and negotiate best-cost solutions for the enterprise. You will influence Merchandising, Category teams, and vendor partners to drive value and sustainable supply strategies.

You will guide the team in developing cost-saving procurement strategies, manage RFPs, and collaborate on product development while delivering on budget targets and market insights.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success in a sourcing or merchandising role.
• Confident negotiator with vendor relationships.
• Ability to influence internal/external partners.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Desire to drive innovation and costing strategies.

Responsabilités

• Meet with Category Directors to understand sourcing needs and evaluate vendors.
• Negotiate with National Brand vendors for first cost targets.
• Assess market trends with the Cost Review team.
• Lead RFP processes to source products aligned to category strategy.
• Inform category strategy with market trends and new products.
• Be the first contact for vendor cost-related issues.
• Develop first-cost procurement strategies with merchandising.
• Negotiate for new and existing products and obtain final decisions.
• Explore new sourcing opportunities tied to market trends and CSR.
• Collaborate on quality issues and supplier-driven initiatives.
• Provide updates on procurement strategies to executives.
