About the Role

Within our Restructuring & Turnaround segment, we address clients’ strategic, operational, financial, and capital needs by tackling complex financial and transactional challenges faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, and other stakeholders. We are a global firm with over 8,000 employees, including a dedicated team of over 100 in Canada, and we are expanding our Montreal office.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee daily financial activities of restructuring and transaction projects, collaborating with top industry experts, legal and finance professionals, and senior client management.
  • Apply business, accounting, and finance skills to diverse client situations.
  • Review financial statements and perform quality of earnings analyses.
  • Prepare and review complex financial projections for various scenarios.
  • Assess business plans, cash flows, and analyze large datasets related to restructuring.
  • Conduct financial due diligence and analysis of clients and target companies.
  • Review operational and financial performance, including variance analysis.
  • Draft reports and presentations on project scope, findings, and results.
  • Collaborate with client’s management, legal counsel, and bankers to facilitate transactions.
  • Manage engagement teams and mentor junior staff.

What You Will Need To Succeed

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in a professional services firm
  • Experience in restructuring and/or transaction services
  • Understanding of financial statements and corporate functions
  • Advanced problem-solving and Excel modeling skills
  • Strong communication skills, report writing included
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn
  • Bilingual in French and English
  • Willingness to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licence Insolvency Trustee (LIT)
