Job description

Responsible for leading a team of Directors of Product Support Sales in the industries of Construction and Forestry, Agriculture, Transportation, and Material Handling. This role focuses on growing the parts and service business within these sectors. As a senior leader in Product Support, the successful candidate must have a proven sales management track record, dedication to excellent customer service, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lead a motivated team. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant combination of education and experience along with proven success in product support.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Territory Sales Management
  2. Lead the sales efforts for Parts and Service globally through four industry-focused Directors and their regional managers.
  3. Establish ratios for CSA territory coverage and collaborate with branches to recruit, onboard, retain, and grow CSAs.
  4. Coordinate with branches to align customer lists and territories with CSAs.
  5. Develop regional sales management practices, including sales meetings, customer & territory reporting, and sales performance tracking.
  6. Product Portfolio, Pricing, Promotion
  7. Work with Marketing to develop retail programs for all non-John Deere customer support products.
  8. Collaborate on developing services for Inspections, Preventative Maintenance, and Warranty with Fleetwise and Marketing.
  9. Identify and address gaps in the product portfolio in partnership with Marketing.
  10. Set and meet sales and margin targets in key parts and service categories.
  11. Create promotional calendars for each industry in collaboration with marketing.
  12. Compensation
  13. Work with HR to develop compensation plans for all CSAs.
  14. Implement incentive programs with sales coordinators and HR.
  15. Recruit, hire, and train team members.
  16. Manage performance of all team members.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned.
