Position Title: Senior Director of Project Delivery
Industry: Construction ICI (Industrial, Commercial, Institutional)
Location: Burlington, Ontario

Overview:
Our client, a well-established and fast-growing design-build construction firm in the ICI space, is seeking a Senior Director of Project Delivery to lead all aspects of project execution and field operations.

Reporting directly to the President and sitting on the Operations Management Team, this is a high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring project delivery excellence across a diverse portfolio of ICI construction projects. The successful candidate will bring a blend of strategic oversight, operational discipline, and team leadership to consistently deliver successful outcomes on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to all project delivery and field operations teams

  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to specified quality and safety standards

  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement across the organization

  • Lead and develop high-performing project teams, including Project Managers, Coordinators, and Site staff

  • Drive operational profitability through effective procurement, resource allocation, and financial management

  • Collaborate with Preconstruction, Sales, and Executive leadership on project planning and business growth

  • Oversee project financials, including conducting monthly P&L reviews and ensuring accurate reporting

  • Anticipate and mitigate project issues involving vendors, clients, consultants, and regulatory stakeholders

  • Provide mentorship and training to team members on cost control, budgeting, and project reporting tools

  • Assess staffing needs and work with HR to recruit and onboard top industry talent

  • Participate in annual business planning, strategic decision-making, and corporate goal setting

  • Represent the company on key projects, acting as the executive liaison to clients and consultants

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in ICI construction project delivery, including large-scale greenfield and brownfield projects

  • Proven leadership in managing multi-million dollar projects in the $280M range

  • Strong financial acumen with experience in P&L ownership, forecasting, and cost control

  • Deep knowledge of Canadian building codes and regulatory standards

  • Expertise in project scheduling, procurement, constructability, and field operations

  • Proficiency with industry software such as CMiC, Procore, and MS Project

  • PMP certification is preferred; other construction or engineering designations are assets

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills

  • A strong network of ICI trades, vendors, and project professionals within the GTA
