The Development and Alumni Engagement (DAE) portfolio at UBC combines development (fundraising) and alumni UBC functions under one umbrella. The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences is renowned internationally for education, innovation, and research in pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences. It attracts about 1,000 undergraduate students annually and trains over 100 graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. Its academic programs prepare students for careers in pharmaceuticals, nanomedicine, biotechnology, and related fields. Faculty research aims for impactful health outcomes and is at the forefront of pharmacy practice, sciences, and health policy.
The Senior Director of Development, Pharmaceutical Sciences will lead the faculty’s long-term strategy, aiming to raise over $3 million annually, including leading efforts in FORWARD, the university’s campaign, and developing alumni engagement programs.
Reporting to the Dean and the Executive Director of Development, the Senior Director will build relationships with academic leaders and mobilize faculty members to achieve fundraising goals.
This role involves managing the campaign participation, incorporating key messaging in donor interactions, and engaging regional and global alumni, donors, prospects, and volunteers to raise awareness and support.
Salary range: $118,311 - $147,757 - $184,569 CAD annually. The midpoint reflects full qualifications and experience.
