A leading financial institution is seeking a Senior Director, External Reporting, to lead the External Reporting team. This role involves strategic governance, preparation of financial disclosures, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a CPA designation and extensive experience in financial reporting, along with strong leadership and communication skills.

As the Senior Director, External Reporting, the individual will be a strategic leader in enterprise finance providing valued financial governance and advice, and empowering and enabling the vision of the future of the CFO Group using innovation to drive efficiencies and provide enriched insights. The individual will lead the External Reporting team in telling the story of financial results to the public through the quarterly Report to Shareholders, Annual Report and other external disclosures. The individual will be responsible for ensuring that financial results are effectively and consistently communicated to the general public and investment community, and that external disclosures comply with key stakeholder requirements.

The individual would be a great match for this role if they have disclosure expertise (e.g. preparation of Annual Reports and Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD&A)) including familiarity with securities law disclosure requirements, a strong ownership posture, experience leading teams in a complex and dynamic environment, and a passion for driving process improvements.
