An opportunity now exists for an experienced enterprise architecture leader to join McElhanney in this newly created role as the Senior Director, Enterprise Architecture. Reporting to the Vice President, Technology, the successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and leading enterprise architecture as a formal capability within the organization. With a focus on aligning technology strategy with business goals, the Senior Director will develop and maintain an enterprise-wide architecture roadmap that spans applications, infrastructure, integration, data, and security domains. This role will play a central part in shaping the long-term technology direction of the company, while also engaging directly with delivery teams to ensure architecture translates into practical, actionable outcomes.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned enterprise architect with proven experience leading the buildout of strategic and digital roadmaps in complex, evolving environments. They bring a strong grasp of architecture frameworks, IT practice models (e.g., ITIL, COBIT), and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Dynamics 365. Adept at bridging strategy and execution, they’ve led transitions to modern technologies while ensuring practical value for the business. A clear communicator and relationship builder, they influence across levels and functions, and bring strong business acumen, emotional intelligence, and a hands-on, outcome-driven approach.

In accordance with BC’s Pay Transparency Act, the expected base salary range for this role is $140,000-170,000 plus bonus and benefits but may vary based on the successful candidate.
