Senior Director, Commercial Lead - Menopause

Bayer Inc.’s Pharmaceutical division has adopted a new operating model to better serve our customers and patients, aligning with our mission, ‘Health for All’. Reporting directly to the Country President and General Manager of the Pharmaceutical Division, the successful candidate will lead the cross-functional Product Team from strategic, visionary, and financial perspectives to ensure successful product launch and growth. They will represent the brand at the Pharma Enabling Network and ensure resource needs are met. The focus is on customer insights-driven decision making and project execution to meet performance metrics.

This is a permanent position based out of Mississauga, Ontario, with Bayer’s commitment to a flexible hybrid working environment.

What you will do :

  1. Financials : Share P&L accountability with peers. Develop strong business cases for brand resources and ensure achievement of key performance metrics.
  2. Leadership : Lead a cross-functional brand squad (medical, market access, regulatory, operations, customer engagement, etc.), define the brand vision, ensure appropriate resources, and provide feedback. Represent the brand and customer voice at the Pharma Leadership Team (PLT).
  3. Strategy : Convert insights from market research, analytics, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback into strategic plans. Define positioning and messaging, co-create solutions with customers, and drive value through iterative team efforts.
  4. Agile Marketing : Operate in 90-day cycles, adapt quickly to change, align teams, and ensure impactful outcomes aligned with Pharma business goals.
  5. Content & Digital : Create modular, timely content for targeted campaigns across microsegments. Ensure compliance with PAAB and internal standards, and optimize digital delivery with a focus on user experience.
  6. Insight Application : Use diverse data sources to stay ahead of industry trends and deepen understanding of disease areas, market dynamics, and success metrics.
  7. Customer Relationships : Build trusted partnerships with Canadian thought leaders, collaborating closely with Customer Engagement.
  8. Collaboration : Work with Customer Engagement teams to translate field insights into actionable plans and create customer-centric value.

Who you are :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, or related field; MBA is an asset
  • 8+ years in marketing or strategic cross-functional roles, with recent product launch experience
  • Experience in Women’s Health and/or sales is an asset
  • Strong business acumen with P&L ownership and resource planning skills
  • Agile mindset with expertise in digital tools and omnichannel strategies
  • Customer-centric, insights-driven decision maker with a record of execution excellence
  • Collaborative team player, capable of building trust, managing conflict, and fostering inclusivity
  • Resilient under pressure; thrives in fast-paced, competitive environments
  • Proven leadership through change, talent development, and stakeholder influence
  • Understanding of Canadian regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Bilingual in French & English is an asset
