Job summary

Pfizer is seeking a Senior Director, Business Technology Strategy to align divisional technology needs with Pfizer’s Digital Core Platforms and standards. The role oversees Director-level Technical Specialists and drives cross-divisional, enterprise-aligned technology direction.

This leader will chair the Architecture Review Board, develop senior technical talent, and ensure programs reuse shared capabilities for faster, safer digital capabilities at global scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 12+ years of leadership in technology strategy or large-scale delivery.
• Experience aligning business needs to enterprise platforms and standards.
• Proven ability to lead senior technical talent and advise senior business and Digital leaders.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, digital standards, cloud platforms, data and integration patterns, AI-enabled delivery, security and governance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between business divisions and Digital, aligning technology direction to platform adoption.
• Align divisional needs to Pfizer’s eight Digital Core Platforms and standards, driving reuse and clean integration.
• Ensure divisional programs are aligned to enterprise platforms and standards from the outset with measurable outcomes.
• Lead, develop, and balance coverage of a Director-level technical Specialist team across divisions.
• Chair or co-lead Architecture Review Board reviews, upholding standards and enterprise alignment.
• Provide strong leadership and structured communication across many divisions and stakeholders.
• Establish governance for digital standards, reliability, security, and operational excellence.
